Was Sally Escamilla at Everything Bagels a mag?
Wow! This place is fantastic! They have so many gluten-free options and a dedicated fryer. I ended up getting one of every dessert, some bagels to go, and a pesto grilled cheese sandwich. So far, I can say the sandwich was delicious, and the red velvet cookie was amazing. I didn’t want to overdo it and eat everything today, but if the other desserts are anything like what I’ve already tried, they’re going to be incre... View all feedback.
What The One and only Pinky Pinky dislikes about Everything Bagels:
The effort they put in is admirable, but the prices are fairly steep. I would be inclined to rate them 4 stars, but the cost is simply too high. On the positive side, they do provide gluten-free options, which is definitely a bonus. However, their prices are about three times what you would typically expect to pay at an ordinary bakery. Furthermore, the amount of lox they serve is noticeably less than at other places... View all feedback.
I visited this place a few days ago for a bagel and coffee, and I have to give it a 5-star rating just for the staff! They were incredibly friendly and delightful. Plus, the bagels are massive! I’ll definitely make this a regular stop whenever I'm in the area.
The staff here are kind and attentive, providing great support, especially for first-time customers like me. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a bagel, which tasted fresh and delightful. However, I found the bacon wasn't as crispy as I prefer, and the hash browns were a bit soggy and greasy. But food preferences are personal, so I definitely suggest giving it a try! I also observed a good selection of vegan and gluten-free options that looked delicious, although I didn't sample them.
My main concern with this restaurant is their pricing. I've picked up breakfast for myself and a coworker about five times, while he has visited about three times. Each time, we felt the prices were a bit steep but brushed it off, thinking it was due to our specific orders. Recently, I went in to get two sandwiches and a small cookie, and to my surprise, my bill exceeded $20 without me really noticing. When I got to work and thought it over, I realized how outrageous that amount was. So, I called the store to ask about the charges. The employee on the line seemed a bit frustrated—probably because they were busy—yet he answered my questions. I told him I had ordered lox, tomato, and avocado on a mini toasted bagel, but to my disappointment, the bagel didn’t have any tomato and wasn’t toasted. He told me to come back for a replacement, but I was at work and couldn't do that. I asked him the price of the mini bagel, and he said it was around $6. Then I asked about the Taylor ham on a bagel, and he again quoted about $6. When I pointed out that my total was $20 and change, which seemed excessive given the cookie and tax, he reiterated that I should return for a refund, but I was still at work. Looking back on previous visits, I realized we often weren’t receiving what we ordered, which is really disappointing. Not only is this place overpriced, but they also seem to take advantage of customers who aren’t careful about their orders. There are much better bagel shops in the area, and I would strongly recommend Paramus Bagel over this one any day.
I know they get all their high reviews from having a giant selection of gluten free options- so if that is what you need- this is the place. However, I will never get food from here again. I am a huge breakfast fan and have been to every bagel place inthe area. Everything Bagel makes good sandwiches, not great ones. The major concern is how they rip customers off. I have pickedup breakfast for a coworker and I around 5 times and he has went about 3. Every time we feel that the price is high but shrug itoff because we are thinking it's what we ordered. The other day I stopped in to pick up our 2 sandwiches and added a singlesmall cookie. Paid $20 and change not really thinking about it. When I got to work I realized how ridiculous that amount was. Icalled the store and even though he seemed annoyed as they were probably busy, he answered my questions. I told him that I askedfor lox, tomato, and avocado on a mini toasted bagel. There was no tomato and they did not toast it. He says come back and getanother one. I can't I am at work now. I asked how much was my mini bagel? He says 6 and change. OK how much was the taylor hamon a bagel? 6 and change... OK why the heck did you charge me 20 and change?? a cookie? tax? still doesn't add up. He says comeback and I will refund you. Once again I am at work. I thought back to all the times we went previously and realized it was notwhat we ordered. This place is not only expensive but they will rip you off if you don't pay attention. There are WAY betterbagel places in the area. I recommend Paramus Bagel any day over this spot.
This bagel place is seriously one of the best I have ever experienced in the state. I am from Upstate NY in Albany and in that area the bagels are nowhere comparable to jersey bagels. Jersey Bagels are much larger and more filling. I had an everythingbagel with bacon egg and Swiss, and it was out of this world!!! The eggs were fried and perfect with a little touch of it beingrunny. That's how it should be on breakfast sandwiches in my eyes. And their iced coffee blew me away. It was so fresh, andthe aftertaste was so smooth. A perfect bite to eat before catching a bus or going on a road trip. The people there are alsofriendly and prices are great. Will certainly be coming back!
