Bombaywala - Paramus
Bombaywala
Description
Bombaywala Co in Paramus channels nostalgic Bombay street food and Indo‑Chinese favorites—pav bhaji, sev puri, hakka noodles and paneer—within a lively retro setting. While many diners applaud authentic flavors and hearty portions, experiences are mixed: dishes can arrive excessively spicy, pre‑mixed and soggy, or occasionally undercooked, with inconsistent spice control and value concerns. Service lapses, order errors and limited celebration support have also been reported. A worthwhile stop for spice‑tolerant, nostalgia‑seeking guests, but those wanting mild, reliably plated meals should proceed with caution.

The portion size for the main course is quite small; they serve it in bowls of the same size.
Extremely overpriced. We visit this restaurant for its vegetarian offerings and commitment to being completely vegetarian. However, we end up paying a significant amount for merely average food.
We used to love their Frankies, but not anymore. The quality has declined significantly. I ordered the Schezwan Noodle Cheese Frankie, and it was packed with onions but had very little cheese and noodles. Additionally, it wasn't served hot. I don't think it's worth paying over $15 in taxes for something like this.
Omg such bad food.. the chole were uncooked .. the pao bhaji had so much raw masala it burned our throats.. really really bad Indian food.. please avoid going as such places spoil the image of flavorful Indian food. Oh and did I mention it’s stupid expensive!
The ambiance is good but all the food items are not excellent.. Quantity as per rate is very less and in steel vessels.. nowadays at Mumbai Street food vendors use disposable. here they must use Glass wear.Secondly paneer sabji need lot of improvement. For chat they need to use more chutney. Only sev with less chutney can't give taste..Seems they use economical measures!! But prise are high and quantity is less!!Thirdly we ordered without butter roti but they served with butter!! When we point out they didn't take care to replace.Last but not least..we went there for a birthday celebration. I inquired before dinner for birthday music..they said yes..we will..but when I said now play ..happy birthday music..they denied.. Answer is Manager says no!!! Now question is when in such a cold we went and selected Indian restaurant in odd day..what is the problem to play 1 minute wish song!! Happiness of customer is not impt!! They continued with there choice Indian songs!! Now my surprise to my family member I have to fulfill after reaching home .so very disappointing experience.Even mukhvas box is empty u have to order paan only!! So waste of money and celebration.. still I'm thinking what is the issue not playing zingle..happy birthday to u..mostly in all restaurants they r pleased to do.. in India..Mumbai and the USA too. Now birthday comes once but the bitter experience stays longer.Only the ambiance can't work..My heart is broken due to putting me in an awkward situation by not playing a small piece of music. We have done ? cutting at home only.
