Luca Trattoria Pizzeria - Oakland
Luca Trattoria Pizzeria
Description
Luca's blends classic Italian comfort with generous portions, warm service, and a dining-room experience beyond its pizzeria label. Highlights include sherry-cream seafood, pastas, polenta, hot sandwiches, gluten-free options and event catering. Expect family-friendly hospitality and big portions, though quality can be inconsistent—pizza and eggplant parm vary, salads and some fried items have been soggy or underseasoned, and service/noise can fluctuate. Great for groups, families, and celebrations; reservations recommended.

Love this place!!! The owners are wonderful people. Always warm and inviting. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is great! The food never disappoints. I've been going here for over 20 yrs and have recommended this restaurant to many others.
I could forgive the extra hour wait when they gave our food to the wrong person, if the food was good. Not a single thing was good. The linguine white clam sauce was basically salty clam juice with overcooked clams. The cheese ravioli was flavorless. The salads were underwhelming, to say the least and served with feta that was off. The complimentary garlic knots were a nice touch, but were undercooked and had zero garlic flavor. I hear they have great pizza, but we’ll never know ourselves Update: clearly the individual responding doesn’t understand the purpose of reviews. The meal and customer service was awful. At this scale of failure, I’m not obligated to provide a second chance, regardless of circumstances.
I've ordered a few times from here since quarantine and I'm so happy with everything we've gotten. I've had the bronzino twice and it was very fresh and delicious. The scallops were amazing too. My new favorite place!
Legitimately the worst pizza I’ve ever had. They also overcharged me for calamari and my pizza but I let it slide because I know restaurants are struggling amid the pandemic. Surprised this place is open they stole my appetite and money. The calamari is advertised as $11.95, and I was charged $34, which means they charged me $22 for a personal sized, frozen food quality pizza.
