Mesob restaurant in Melbourne offers a mixed experience for diners, with some praising the delicious vegetarian options while others find the meat dishes lacking. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the traditional Ethiopian cuisine is definitely worth trying. However, there are some mixed reviews on specific dishes such as raw vegetables or lackluster homemade options. Overall, Mesob provides a diverse menu for both herbivores and carnivores, with generous portions and a welcoming ambiance. The restaurant can get busy, so be sure to book ahead. Despite some minor issues, Mesob's authentic and flavorful food is definitely worth a visit for those looking to experience Ethiopian cuisine in Northcote.

The interieur is friendly and welcoming. there some small details were concentrated on the ethopic culture. there were many traditional dishes to choose, but this was our first time trying something from the African continental, so we decided to try the plate that gives us a cooking choice. the service was great and the ambiente was nice and cozy. the plating style was really interesting and they just need to remember washing their hands before they start eating with them! we could not pass by two sambosas after home as she saw amazing. they reminded us of Mexican fajitas only in another skin. they can have vegetarian or meat and if we took them home, they were still amazing with the chili salsa.we are excited to go back and try more dishes on the menu. a lot of luck for the team.

This was my first experience at the Ethiopian restaurant and I can't wait to go back again!!! The whole dining experience was amazing. The food was so flavourful and I loved how they originally served it.

Great food, well priced, lovely staff. We had the beef sambosas as starters. Couldn't decide what to get for the mains (because there were so many options), so we ordered the omnivore platter just delicious finger licking food! Can't wait to come back again with more guests so we can try the Negus platter (minimum of 4 pax). Definitely worth a visit if you're after some authentic Ethiopian food.
