The st... read more This restaurant is a fantastic spot for enjoying coffee and cake, especially if you have children. The coffee is great and offers the best value in town. The staff are always efficient and friendly. There is seating available both inside and outside, both with wonderful views, and the kids have the freedom to play. They even offer a loyalty card for returning customers.

However, when I stopped by on the afternoon of September 1st, I was disappointed to find that the restaurant had to close for the afternoon during one of the busiest weeks of the summer season. With only one person serving, it was understandable that they needed a break, but it's important for the restaurant to address their staffing issues. Perhaps they are facing competition from the new Wetherspoon's across the road. Additionally, the smell in the toilets was unbearable, prompting me to leave without using them. I won't be returning to this establishment, especially when the Admiral Collingwood Wetherspoon's was so busy. If this place is council-run, they should be ashamed of the lack of service and cleanliness.

The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. Overall, a great experience!

Breakfast was cold, and not particularly good, the toast so dry and hard it was inedible, latte needed copius amounts of sugar to make it drinkable. Maybe we were just unlucky but probably the worst cooked breakfast we have ever had.
