Feedback
Reviews for The Red Barn praise friendly staff, drinks and atmosphere but note inconsistent service, occasional long food waits, and variable kitchen hours.
Please don’t put you open at 11.00AM then actually don’t open until 11.30AM Annoying
Great place to grab a drink, definitely could do with some more people on the bar during busy periods. We only got some chips but for 4 bowls it cost £27, a little expensive for something so small.
I had the two for £20 pizza here on a Friday evening and I can honestly say it’s the worst pizza I have had in 35 years. Just tastes of tomato puree and herbs. Lovely atmosphere but the pizzas need to go!
Has become a dirty rip off of a place. The audacity to put a service charge on the phone ordering is a joke. Its gotten really grubby very quickly and the prices of everything are ridiculous, especially the fries.
Sorry Hall and Woodhouse but you've definitely employed the wrong General Manager and ruined and I mean completely ruined an iconic venue. FROZEN FISH FINGERS! on a sandwich in 2024 and right next to the sea is completely wrong on all levels and then had to wait 1 hour for our order of 2 sandwiches and a further 20 mins for a coffee!! It's laughable as it's March the place was empty and yet the wait, the food, the service were all poor. God knows what you'll do in the summer! Like I said definitely the wrong Manager here she/he needs to hang there heads in shame as like I said it's ruined the whole place is dirty, dreary and drab ! Hall and Woodhouse you should be ashamed of what you've done to our lovely red barn ! We will never return and after hearing the general consensus of others it's highly unlikely anyone else will. Frozen fish!! Disgusting

Regulars still consider The Red Barn a Woolacombe institution for post-beach pints and relaxed family meals, but since a change in ownership some operational practices (like kitchen hours and stock rotation) have shifted — locals often book early or call ahead to secure preferred beers and seating.
