The Red Barn in Woolacombe, once a beloved dining destination, has sparked mixed reviews amid recent management changes. Long-time patrons lament the notable decline in food quality and menu options, echoing disappointment over stale offerings and unavailability of basic items. Service issues persist, with reports of no food service during peak times. However, some reviews highlight friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere, as well as a few standout dishes like the Tuscan Seafood Tagliatelle. Despite its picturesque location and potential, the current state of the restaurant has left many questioning if it can regain its former glory.

A lovely early-evening meal on New Year's Eve. Good atmosphere, great service from Frankie and lovely food, as always.

My group of three visited the restaurant on a Thursday afternoon around 1pm for lunch and drinks before heading to the beach. The seating was not too crowded, so we placed our orders and enjoyed some drinks. It took 45 minutes for our food to be served, during which one of us was informed that the Ham, Chips, and Peas dish was unavailable (no specifics provided on which ingredient was missing), and there was also a shortage of bacon. I was concerned about my own meal as it included bacon, but it arrived as ordered. Additionally, the facilities were in poor condition, with one of the cubicles in the Ladies' room lacking a lock and another lacking lighting.

Hall and Woodhouse what have you done to the Red Barn? We have been coming to Woolacombe for many years and have loved spending time at the Red Barn for both food and drinks. All that has changed since Hall and Woodhouse took over a couple of years ago. Easter was bad …. Running out of beer over the Easter weekend but our latest visit was worse. So much so that we stayed for 1 drink and didn’t return. Other venues in Woolacombe are doing so much better. There is no excuse for this down turn.
