The pub serves fabulous food that was so good we went twice during our holiday nearby. The staff, two lovely girls serving at the bar and delivering to tables, were really friendly and accommodating. We had an excellent salmon dish the first night, which was a generous portion with sauté potatoes and beautifully cooked vegetables. We thought it was great value for money given the quality. What n0rb0nj0 doesn't like about Fox Goose:
The ambiance was friendly and fitting a village pub. Staff were helpful and obliging (making a special pudding combination on request) and both the main dishes we tried were extremely tasty and more than adequate in size. If ever we are within visiting distance again we will definitely return. View all feedback.
Very impressed when I ate here a couple of years ago, and this time we stayed the night in a newly renovated room, finished and equipped to a very high standard. The food was again excellent (afraid I had the fish stew again can't get enough of it! . I like the local sourcing and high standards of the produce, all nicely presented by welcoming owners and friendly staff. Good breakfast too.
We stayed 2 nights and found Craig and Aiden to be excellent hosts having only taken over the business 8 weeks earlier. The food was excellent and they managed to create a warm environment; indeed on the Tuesday evening when the pub does not open they still cooked for the two couples who were staying and offered us the option of eating with them, which resulted in a sociable candlelit evening of good company and shared stories. We would certainly return.
Just had the most wonderful stay at The Fox Goose. We booked a two night stay, the room was lovely, it had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and the evening meals were superb, very high quality. The hosts were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, you could choose your own times to eat, very accommodating. We would highly recommend a stay and/or eating in their restaurant, we've already booked our next visit!

This is a really nice place, where we had a recent evening meal Really welcoming staff/owners, very tempting menu, with fresh produce. My wife had Boillbaise, and I had Cod tagliatelle, both really delicious. We also managed to share a delicious cheesecake desert. Nice atmosphere and excellent service as well, thoroughly recommended.
