Was sue at The Crown a mag?
We stopped by tonight for a pre-dinner drink and received a warm welcome in a charming setting. The pub had a great atmosphere with friendly locals to chat with. We look forward to dining here next time. It's a quintessential British pub with excellent staff and customers. We feel fortunate to live close enough to frequent these delightful places regularly. Visited here with family a couple of weeks ago. We stopped by a few times for drinks during our holiday but only once for food. Had great service and nice friendly atmosphere but unfortunately the visit when we ate was somewhat spoiled. My mother in law has gluten intolerance and asked for the gluten free menu. Staff very helpful in finding a table during a busy time. Food was lovely and nice atmosphere. Dog friendly too. We came back for a second evening. Recommended to book as it can get busy!

Failing which, based on the two mains we had, you'd have the same food if you defrosted a low end ready meal.
I had a wonderful weekend at the Crown. Our three Groodle Water Poodles (GWP) and us felt very welcome. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere felt like being at home. I highly recommend this place for a stay, whether you're with your dogs or not. And the breakfast—oh my! The fried bread is simply to die for!
If you're looking for a wonderful hotel with amazing food at a great price and friendly staff, you should definitely check this place out. And by the way, the breakfast is incredible—it’s the perfect way to start your day!
