The Crown - North Devon
The Crown
Description
The restaurant, located in Lynton, Devon, boasts a cozy atmosphere and clean facilities. However, reviews mention inadequate staff attitudes, poor drink choices, and restroom maintenance issues. On the bright side, the food is delicious and portion sizes are generous. The hotel received positive feedback for its peaceful environment, spacious rooms, and enjoyable breakfast. The staff was praised for their friendliness and attentiveness. Overall, while some improvements in service and facilities are needed, the establishment seems to be a pleasant spot for a meal or overnight stay in Lynton.

I had a wonderful weekend at the Crown. Our three Groodle Water Poodles (GWP) and us felt very welcome. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere felt like being at home. I highly recommend this place for a stay, whether you're with your dogs or not. And the breakfast—oh my! The fried bread is simply to die for!
If you're looking for a wonderful hotel with amazing food at a great price and friendly staff, you should definitely check this place out. And by the way, the breakfast is incredible—it’s the perfect way to start your day!
It's like home from home and Lee and Rachel are amazing , nothing is too much trouble for them , and the food is good and the Sunday lunch is amazing . And even better you can stay there for a long or short holiday
We had an absolutely wonderful time during our second stay at The Crown, which ended up lasting 3 days instead of the 2 we had originally planned! Rachel and Lee were incredibly accommodating throughout our visit. Our dog, Alfie, was treated as warmly as we were, with thoughtful touches like a dog blanket and treats waiting for him in our room. The service, the staff, the food—everything was just fantastic, and everyone was so friendly. Will we be returning? Definitely! Thank you all for making our trip home so memorable. With love, Nikki, James, and Alfie xxx
