Visited here during the fleadh with the family. Service was excellent and food was brilliant with a great choice. Nice seating area out back also.

While driving through  Mullingar, my partner and I decided to stop for a bite to eat and came upon  Oscars. From the moment we stepped in, we were swept away by an impeccable dining experience that deserves nothing less than five stars! The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made the evening truly special. The highlight of my meal was the Steamed Black Mussels with Buttered Samphire, Fresh Chilli, and Spring Onions — easily the best I’ve ever eaten. The flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced, creating a memorable start to the meal. The culinary excellence didn't stop there; the Slow Braised Featherblade of Beef was a masterpiece. Served with Glazed Pearl Onions, Baby Vegetables, Green Mash, and Thyme Jus, the beef was tender and melt-in-your-mouth, paired exquisitely with the freshness of the vegetables and the richness of the jus. Every bite was a delight and showcased the chef's expertise and attention to quality.  Oscars has truly set the bar high for fine dining in  Mullingar with its combination of outstanding service, exquisite food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to drive back through so we can return to  Oscars. I highly recommend a visit for anyone looking to enjoy a top-tier culinary adventure!

I went to  Oscars last night. No booking. Staff were so helpful and prepared a table in a few minutes. The food was superb (ribs and supreme of chicken) both in flavour and quantity, and the wine was a perfect fit. The dessert was delicious. The restaurant was warm and cosy with excellent service. Top class in  Mullingar
