Old House - Mullingar

Booked a meal for 2 here at short notice as I was late making arrangements. very cold evening outside, but we were welcomed with a smile and seated near the beautiful open fire. The menu was simple but appealing, we both had the Salad starter. fresh and tasty. I had the Chicken Supreme (very tasty) and my wife Loved the Sea Bass. 1 glass of wine and 1 pint of Heineken the lot came to a very reasonable €66. Will return.

We stayed at the hotel where this restaurant is and could not fault any of it. We had dinner the first night in old house restaurant. It was the best meal we had in Mullingar and they were all nice. Definitely would recommend eating here.

Went tonight with my partner, we both ordered the Sea Bass €22.50 each, fish was so thin and we got a very small portion of mash and veg to share, smallest main course I've ever had, we didn't stick around for dessert, very disappointing, don't recommend.
