A truly wonderful experience!

The staff were frien... read more During a summer Wine Dine break, Vettriano’s glass conservatory doors opened onto a charming, cool terrace—a perfect retreat from the heat. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. However, part of my starter was forgotten, and I had to inquire about it. For the main course, I chose salmon, which was overcooked and lacked seasoning, resulting in a bland taste. In hindsight, I should have opted for the duck, as my husband’s dish was both delicious and generously portioned. For dessert, I had the chocolate brownie, which was disappointing—thin and chewy, whereas I prefer brownies with a crisp exterior and moist, even gooey, interior. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed a wonderful break; the attentive staff, lovely setting, and excellent breakfast selection more than made up for them.

However, when we checked the bill, we discovered that the voucher cost more than the actual meal we ordered. Essentially, the advertised deal was misleading and didn’t exist. We raised our concerns with the staff, but no compensation was offered. The food was decent, but the service was rather slow. I wouldn't recommend this place.
