Came in to kill some time before a concert with Mr. Smalls. Randomly took a place after the walk and ended here. I had the steak, the ham and the egg. It was probably one of the best sandwiches I had. The bread was amazing. I really can't describe how good it is. Just great. The owner greeted us and was kind as the young lady who took care of us. It should be no surprise that our recent adventures to Pittsburgh (read about them here and here) included breakfast explorations. The Saturday morning of our stay there, we managed to catch up with Rick Sebak, producer for WQED Pittsburgh, and he recommended Pamela’s P&G Diner in Millvale for Sunday breakfast. There are six Pamela’s Diners spread around greater Pittsburgh, and Rick named the Millvale stop as one of his favorites. And when Rick suggests a breakfast on his home turf of Pittsburgh – you go!
Classic staple of Pittsburgh. I like this location because it's usually never too crowded which is great! Banana walnut pancakes are a must and everyone there is so friendly. Don't miss out.
The service was slow and lacking but it's pretty typical diner service. The food was very good and the atmosphere was unique.
Yes, we read the reviews. We have read the reviews and have been constantly concerned that the service is not up to our standards. Please forgive us. We have made some staff changes and expect our servers to be BETTER than most. If you are not treated with friendly fast service, please talk to Jennifer. We hate bad service even more than you!
Wonderful breakfast! Coffee is not at all thin as other has suggested, take this 30 year trucker veteran's word for that! Reminds me of a place i used to go in iron city every time I had a delivery nearby from the deep south. I used to look forward to those times too. The banana walnut pancakes are a must, no syrup needed. And the staff is very friendly, the place is packed often, get a grip folks. The place would be empty only if it weren't any good.
