Contribute FeedbackExperience at the restaurant Dish Osteria seems to have varied greatly depending on who you ask. One customer was disappointed after being asked to leave due to their unvaccinated 2-month-old baby, despite making a reservation and offering logical medical reasons. However, others raved about the exceptional Italian food served at the restaurant, with dishes like gnocchi and quail being particular favorites. The staff was praised for being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, with one reviewer comparing the service to high-end restaurants like Manresa and The French Laundry. The atmosphere was also highlighted, with mentions of hanging lights, reliefs on the walls, and a dark, intimate setting. Despite differing experiences, most reviewers expressed a desire to return to Dish Osteria for more delicious food and excellent service.
What a wonderful place to dinner! the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. they can taste the careful that put the cook in their dishes. go to this restaurant!
Amazing. we missed dish so much. the personal was amazing. especially dave and bre.
To start with, they must show their Kovid vaccine card to get to the restaurant. the personal was extraordinary as all the dishes we had. this is probably the best dinner we had in pitsburgh, since we were here 18 months ago, and we tried many restaurants. all appetizers were well executed. the evening dinners were also exceptional. we tried all desserts and they were also excellent. this is definitely worth a visit.
The food was spectacularly delicious. the otopus was like butter. everything was so tasteful. great waiting staff, they all helped each other and were all so attentive. more cozy place with beautiful decor. will always come back.
Genuinely disappointed with our experience. My wife and I had been there before they shut down and reopened and it was great. This time, however, we were told to leave when we went in the front door because our 2 month old child was not vaccinated, even though they’re not eligible for the vaccine and my wife was 5 months pregnant when she received her vaccination, so our child does have the antibodies. What’s worse is that we specifically mentioned when making our reservation that we had a baby in case we needed to be seated at a table larger than 2 or needed a sling for the car seat. The reservation was accepted anyway. We were immediately met at the door when we entered and told we were not allowed to eat there before we could say a word. If that’s your policy, that’s your right but to accept the reservation, rudely ask us to leave, not listen to medical logic, and have us drive 30 minutes for our dinner to do so is inexcusable. Incredibly disappointing experience for a place we otherwise had liked in the past. For what it’s worth, they were also empty on a Friday night so not sure what that says about the state of their restaurant but i will obviously not be going back.
