We waited at the check-in table for 10 minutes, but no one came to seat us. Eventually, I had to find someone to help us. There were hardly any customers in the restaurant—just us. Once we were finally seated, someone brought us water and took our drink order. However, after 15 minutes had passed with no drinks, we waited another 5 minutes, making it a total of 30 minutes without service. Frustrated, we decided to leave. The surrounding tables weren't cleared, and there were dirty dishes and trash left on at least three of them, even though the place was completely empty.

The prime rib was tough and tasteless. the shrimp were small, the rolls seemed day old, and the creme Brule consistency and taste was like from a box. Pies were subpar as well. No need from our perspective to have so many dips. Brussel sprouts and avocado/salmon dip were delish. We were quite disappointed. Service was OK and hotel is charming.

The service is slower than usual and the fo... read more If you're staying at the homestead this is a convenient place to eat. Convenience is about all you are going to get. The service is slower than usual and the food is okay. The food choices aren't great. The dining room is nice and quiet if you can get a seat by the window it's great to look outside, while you wait for your food and service.
