Despite the incredibly off-putting and certainly cursed rendition of Annabell's pagan grandmother hanging in the center of the dining space, the food was unbelievable. Went with a few friends and they all agreed too (not only that we might get sacrificed to the goddess of the underworld surrounded by antlers illuminated by a spotlight, but also that this was one of the most satisfying meals we've had in some time) Wi... What Clifford Reynolds doesn't like about The Blue Boar Inn, LLC:
Very interesting place, but staff were not knowledgeable or particularly friendly- which was surprising. Food was OK but nothing special. Certainly not up to the 4 Diamond awards claimed. View all feedback.
We were here for our wedding dinner. I didn't eat anything except a slice of bread. I ordered Caesar salad and lamb t bones. The salad was terrible, wedgey and sloppy, I would have prepared a much better salad for the cook my self. The lamb was playful and tasted as if the cook really tried a piece of meat, that should be on the menu. Everything I didn't eat has it. They composed all our foods besides drinks. I typed the waitress who was terrible at her job, Danielle. Never even brought us bread, I had to ask a separate waiter for this privilege. She had no worries for our visit and didn't like it to be pleasant. You can say when you get bad service.
My husband and I went to the Blue Boar Restaurant. I was never there and was pleasantly satisfied with the atmosphere and the delicious food. We decided to sit on their terrace. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining. You have certain meal options every day of the week. Our elections were Ribeye Steak or Halibut. We chose the steaks and they were delicious. We will definitely return.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. We loved the fondue as a starter who had delicious sourdough bread, broccolini, a spicy sausage and chilies. We also ordered the Schnitzel (which lacked little salt, but fixed with available salt shaker) and the Filet Mignon (which came with delicious potatoes and carrots). When learning that we celebrated our anniversary, my wife's server gave a red rose. We felt service was excellent and the food amazing.
We were here twice and both times we were really happy with our stay. Breakfast was above all the Sunday brunch. Even the dinner was good, although the menu is somewhat limited. Location is great, right opposite the entrance of the Wasatch Mountain State Park. We're coming back!
First time to eat here! Loved it. Juan was very knowledgeable and made each dish special. We'll definitely be back with our friends next time we are in town. Sit outside weather permitting!
