A recent dining experience at a local restaurant highlighted a mix of challenges and positives. Diners reported issues with overcooked steaks and hamburgers, along with a disappointing menu change that eliminated beloved items like pop-over rolls. The service struggled with delays, as many patrons experienced long waits and inadequate attention, despite a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. While the dining room offered a pleasant setting, it was overshadowed by slow service and high prices. However, some guests enjoyed unique and flavorful dishes, noting that the food had potential. Overall, convenience may be the only consistent factor for diners considering a visit.

We ordered three medium steaks, but they all came out well done. We also ordered three hamburgers, and they were all overcooked as well. Additionally, they've removed the pop-over rolls that we used to love. The menu has changed completely, so I recommend checking it before making a reservation. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. The manager and server were very nice, and they mentioned they only had one cook, which I feel bad about. However, our bill was quite high, and given the quality of the food, it just wasn't worth it.
Food was good but service was very slow and they strangely turned off the music in the restaurant for a good 45 min at one point
The rest was so cold. good that we were sitting at the fire. we had put our waitress more wood on the fire so we didn't freeze. 1/2 of our group had to carry weights through dinner. the price was too high for what they received. more options would be nice.
I thought this would be typical sports bar food. However, the food was different and delicious. I had the stuffed portabella mushroom, and it was wonderful. A table next to us and a cheesy steak sandwich which they claimed is all they get when they come here. My father had a wonderful halibut that was not over cooked and came with lovely sautéed veggies. Nice dinner. The service people were really hustling and friendly.

We visited this restaurant after spending time at the crater for my friend's birthday. We waited at the check-in table for 10 minutes, but no one came to seat us. Eventually, I had to find someone to help us. There were hardly any customers in the restaurant—just us. Once we were finally seated, someone brought us water and took our drink order. However, after 15 minutes had passed with no drinks, we waited another 5 minutes, making it a total of 30 minutes without service. Frustrated, we decided to leave. The surrounding tables weren't cleared, and there were dirty dishes and trash left on at least three of them, even though the place was completely empty.
I absolutely loved this charming and peaceful spot! The food and service were outstanding!
Food, service and atmosphere were excellent, and the people friendly. Sadly, they had a piano, but no one to play it.
We were very disappointed with the quality of the food for the price. The prime rib was tough and tasteless. the shrimp were small, the rolls seemed day old, and the creme Brule consistency and taste was like from a box. Pies were subpar as well. No need from our perspective to have so many dips. Brussel sprouts and avocado/salmon dip were delish. We were quite disappointed. Service was OK and hotel is charming.
