If you like prawns, garlic and chili, and want something that isn't just your regular garlic prawns. The combination of flavours, hints of lemon, coriander. Also they server bacon with pancakes. It's great. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Xpressomondo:
The only reason I remembered that we went to this place was before I took a photo of my burger. The food itself was okay, mine was quite dry, and my partners "nachos" looked more like a handful of chips and a tiny bit of salsa with oily cheese on top. Would I return? No. But I didn't have a terrible time, really. Definitely better places to eat close by. View all feedback.
I had lunch today, the food was really nice and service was awesome. I will definitely come back again. Manager was really good to me . I also ordered the lemon cheesecake, tasted great.
Very delicious. Like it. I think this restaurant is under-rated. My boyfriend and I ordered Chicken carbonara and Saffron Rissoto. Both were tasty and the prawns are very fresh.
I am surprised by the amount of negative comments about this restaurant. It seems like they are facing criticism because their appearance is not as polished as other places on Degraves Street. I rarely find perfectly cooked calamari, but this place served me just that! Their bruschetta is impeccable, and the vinaigrette they make for three days adds a special touch. I highly recommend their food and coffee.
The manager was very friendly, nice and even offered us free drinks after hearing our comments about the prices, which was a nice gesture. We had a few small conversations, and he made sure to check in on us. We ordered two pizzas: a Veggie pizza and a Tandoori chicken pizza. The Tandoori pizza was unique and tasty, with a soft but sturdy crust, definitely the better of the two. A memorable pizza for me. Unfortunately, the veggie pizza was just okay, especially for the high price. The crust was a bit dry and hard, and it wasn’t sliced all the way through, so we had to cut it ourselves. For drinks, the hot chocolate was good. I could tell real chocolate was used since there was some settled at the bottom. I was told that the coffee was average, not bad, but not amazing and that the chai tea was quite good. My family enjoyed the thin crust style of the pizza. Overall, the experience was decent, though the veggie pizza didn’t quite live up to its price. Still, the service was welcoming, the manager was great, and some menu items stood out. Hands down the best corn fritter I’ve ever had, with a menu packed full of vegan options. Ask for John—he can turn just about any dish into a veggie-friendly delight. As expected in Melbourne, the coffee is exceptional, and these guys absolutely nailed it. Great coffee, warm vibes, and genuine care. Easily the food highlight of my this Melbourne trip!
