Last night, Vinh's was quiet, making it perfect for a large family gathering. We particularly enjoyed the Vinh's Spring Rolls, which were more filling than the typical spring rolls. The fried chicken ribs and vegetable/bean curd hot pot were also delicious. The salt and pepper calamari was a bit tough and heavily battered. The Vietnamese pancake was decent but not my top choice. Unfortunately, there were no desserts available. Overall, it was good value for the price.

I ordered their Banh Canh Cua today (seafood starch noodle) and needless to say that was the best bowl of drop noodles i've had in a while, plenty of seafood and veggie for only $12 and i couldnt even finish it. Will definitely be back for more. Their chilli oil is awesome too.

This restaurant recently changed name and management. I was told that the head chef worked in several well known Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants in the area.I ordered the Banh Canh Cua (Vietnamese Crab Thick Rice Noodle Soup). It had a generous serving of crab meat. It was flavourful and delicious. Will come back again to try the other dishes.

We tried the new item on the menu, the pan-fried vegetarian dumplings for $8. They were flat and lightly fried, with a filling of mushroom, cabbage, and other ingredients. The sauce served with them was interesting, with a soy-like, slightly sweet, and spicy flavor. We would definitely order them again. The vegetarian claypot rice with chili and lemongrass, priced around $12, was a repeat dish. However, this time it lacked spiciness and the lemongrass flavor was subtle. There were plenty of vegetables and tofu. We added some chili oil for extra heat, which was very spicy compared to others we've tried. The salt and pepper calamari, priced at $15.80, consisted of hoods rather than tentacles. They were served with crispy fried vermicelli noodles and salt and pepper vegetables. We enjoyed dipping them in the dumpling sauce for extra flavor. Overall, they were pretty good. I previously dined at this restaurant with a friend 8 months ago, but we didn't take any photos. The spring rolls special, 2 for $6, were just okay. They contained chicken and were slightly oily, with some filling escaping. The dipping sauce was overly sweet. The prawn meat stuffed eggplant, capsicum, and bean curd clay pot rice was filled with prawn mince and various vegetables. The mince had a subtle fishy taste and the black bean sauce could have been stronger. The fresh coriander was more distracting than complementary, and the rice lacked a crispy base. The vegetable, chili, and lemongrass clay pot rice was overflowing with 11 different types of vegetables. It had a strong lemongrass flavor, good chili heat, and a delicious gravy. The only downside was the rice, which could have used more bean curd. The staff were friendly and the main meals were good value. Overall, a pretty good dining experience.
