Description

Taj on High has garnered mixed reviews, with experiences ranging from delightful to disappointing. While some patrons praise the authentic flavors, generous portions, and attentive staff, others lament undercooked dishes and inattentive service. Highlights include tasty garlic naan and rich curries, though a few diners encountered oversaturated flavors and inconsistent quality. The welcoming atmosphere and emphasis on vegetarian options are noted positively. A standout moment featured a complimentary meal for a student, showcasing the restaurant’s community spirit. Overall, while many enthusiasts will return, the restaurant’s fluctuations in quality and service warrant some caution from potential visitors.

The Lamb Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken, and Beef Biryani were all incredible. The portion sizes were generous; the family pack for two could easily serve a couple of kids as well. The samosas were delicious too. Thank you, Taj On High! I will definitely be ordering from you again.

The food is always amazing; you absolutely have to try their Dal Makhni—it's the best in Melbourne!

My friend suggested this restaurant to me. The Dal Makhani was lacking in salt, the Kadahi Paneer was just okay, and the Naan tasted like it was cooked on a Tawa instead of in a Tandoor. The Lachha Paratha was undercooked as well. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

Hands down, this is the best Indian food in the area! You get great value, amazing flavors, and the service is quick. The meat is always tender and falls apart easily. It's incredibly delicious—definitely a perfect 10 out of 10!

I tried the lamb kebab for the first time, but it was cold and caused me some stomach issues afterward. I haven't tried the biryani yet, but I usually don't have any complaints about it.
