Braving 3 degrees Celsius in the wee morning, walking from South Wharf to dine in this popular Melbourne cafe. Always reserve your seat (we always do) as the place was full at 7.30 am! Great, cosy but cold cafe despite the heaters on the roof. Ordered the scrambled eggs on toast with bacons and the chilli scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were shaped into the tornado style, well cooked, but it could use a bit of salt as it was a bit bland. Coffees were standard averaged Melb coffee. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This was our first stop and a great way to start our Melbourne trip. We loved the drinks that we got and would highly recommend the purple haze (if you like lavender) and blueberry lemon pie! The bourdain sandwich was rather heavy-handed on the sauces and its generous portion kept me full for the rest of the day, while sadly the korean fried chicken burger was the size of a coffee cup. My friends also recommended the turkish eggs, which had really fluffy naan and tasty labneh. Although the prices are quite eye watering, this is a place worth visiting every now and then for their interesting beverages. I absolutely adore this restaurant. I visited on Christmas day and was greeted with kindness and warmth. The food was delectable and the coffee was excellent. I tried the citrus cured kingfish, green hummus, and lamb brisket, all of which were fantastic. The menu always has new dishes that I love. Despite the place being bustling with customers, they managed to find a perfect table for us.
