I recently organized catering from Somsak Thai for a 50th birthday party with ~20 guests. We worked out a suite of dishes from the takeaway menu, which has significantly lower prices, and then the restaurant owner kindly offered a further discount for the bulk order. The food was delivered on time, nice and warm and all I had to do was spread it out and serve while continuing to party - it was brilliant!Everyone at the party RAVED about the quality of the food! This is *Thai-style* Thai cooking. Particularly yummy were the Massaman curry, the papaya salad and the chicken larb. I highly recommend this restaurant!

With this day and age of Uber Eats, Menulog, and Deliveroo just to name a few great little restaurants like Somsak can sit nearly empty Mon - Thrs which is a shame. We are fast becoming another nation of couch eaters...Get out of the abode and venture down to Somsak on Toorak Rd South Yarra you will be glad you did.I love Thai food so it's a no brainer for me and the ambience of Somsak gets me every time plus they have Belvedare lime and soda what more do you need?Yes it's licenced, yes the food is always good, yes the service is always good humble Thai style and they always seem to be open when I head that way.Beats sitting on the couch ordering delivery, bit of the human touch when food is served is always good for the soul even if it's a table for one. Get out there and get to Somsak, bring a friend or dine alone but then you are never alone in a Thai restaurant are you...?

I love spicy food and I like Thai in general. Having lived in Thailand for a few months for work, I became accustomed to the lifestyle and food there. Having been born in Singapore moreover, spicy food is no stranger to me. I dined at Somsak a few nights ago and haven't looked back since. Their food is pretty good for the most part and their spices and chilli should you prefer your food that way is proper thai. It adds a solid kick and punch to the meal. The service is pretty good too and the overall staff are friendly. Well worth a dine and return.

I forgot to include this restaurant on my list of must-visit places in Madrid, which is a funny oversight.

The restaurant looks stunning at night, but it's even more impressive during the day when you can fully appreciate its incredible architecture and attention to detail.
