The food at this restaurant is fantastic and delicious, with quick and friendly service. The menu can be conveniently accessed through an iPad for ordering. The prices are unbelievably inexpensive.
We visited Shyun for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed it. We traveled from Ballarat for the exceptional meal and wonderful experience, and would definitely make the trip again.
Please Mr Japanese chef, can you not add too much sugar to your teriyaki beef and fried stuff in your Bento Box. I have been to Tokyo heaps and don t recall their food being so sweet. Nor Singapore where I have been many times. Please note I m not referring to their sushi which is ok as with ramen. Please don't over rate as create false expectations !
This restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine with a wide variety of options. I love it so much that I make sure to come back whenever I have the chance.
We booked a week in advance as we knew from friends it was difficult to get a table. We were told at the time of the booking that we would be sitting in the front section per our request. Except when we came, they made various excuses and showed us out the back. Which was perfectly nice as well but not what we wanted as we like to watch the passing traffic. To order, we had to use a very annoying iPad with software that didn 't allow us the flexibility to order properly. Eventually I got fed up and asked to order in the normal manner, face to face. This was an issue for the waitress and another came to assist. I ordered the Deluxe Bento and made vey clear that I did not want any Mayonnaise either on or in my food. Except when the food arrived, the sushi contained Mayonnaise. I pointed this out, but the waitress stated it could not be altered and I should just not eat it. I said thats fine, we will then leave without eating or paying anything. However another waitress intervened to swap the sushi for sushi without Mayonnaise. It would not have mattered how good the food was, the damage was done. Objectively it wasn 't that nice, my wife 's choices were oily and the Teriyaki far too salty.
