First time eating at Raan kan thai.Great online deal .There were 4 lunch options to choose. The pad thai with chicken was wonderfully tasty. Huge serving. Not many vegies. Friends red curry was also enjoyed. No onion was requested and was served correctly.Basic but comfortable restaurant. Very impressed. Will return and reccomend to others View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Raan Kan Eang:
Thai culinary was full so the staff brought me over to this restaurant telling me its the same restaurant. Again, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ribs on rice. It should be the same as Thai culinary but for some reason it tasted a bit different. It was more salty and slightly over cooked. Still a decent meal though. Would come back and give it another go. This restaurant serves the best crispy chicken! It is absolutely delicious and deserves 5 stars. The Tom-Yum soup is also quite good. The only downside is that the interior of the restaurant is small and the portion sizes can vary depending on how busy they are - they are usually smaller during busy times. However, the food is really good despite these minor issues.
I enjoyed the crispy chicken ribs, although they were a bit too spicy for my taste. The crispy pork belly with sauce was decent, but overall, the menu offers good value for the price. I will definitely be returning for lunch.
This is the only place I know that offers green curry fried rice! and it is great! aromen are great, cozy little place service ladies are not the best, but it is worth for money.
Surprisingly good for a place that looks like a cheap and cheerful eating. it is not s big restaurant, but packs a medium meal. I had the suppe, which was very tasty and a good portion size. the pad thai was very nice and would like to order again. so many of these fast restaurants that offer for international students are diversifying what is offered in melbourne. wheelchair friendly but only. look forward to the re-enactment of the menu in the coming months.
This restaurant in Melbourne is one of the top spots for affordable, quick, and tasty Thai cuisine. Our go-to dishes include pad see ew, tom yum fried rice, tom kha soup, and spicy chicken ribs (which can be ordered as a shared main dish instead of a stand-alone meal with rice). What's more, they offer a great BYO option at a reasonable price.
