Operator 25 - Melbourne
Menu
The restaurant from Melbourne offers 94 different courses and drinks on the menu for an average price of A$13.
This Melbourne restaurant has received numerous positive reviews, but our experience didn't quite live up to the hype. While the service started off promising, with a short wait for a table and a helpful front of house server, things quickly took a turn for the worse. We waited 45 minutes for our food, only to find that both the lamb and fish dishes were underwhelming and questionable in freshness. After experiencing stomach pains later in the day, we were left disappointed. In contrast, other diners have raved about the Ube waffles, corn fritters, and various egg dishes on the menu. The food has been described as beautiful, delicious, and excellent. While the trendy vibe of the restaurant may not be for everyone, the overall dining experience has left a mixed impression.

Beautiful dishes, friendly staff and great mood in general! Just one of my top 5 brunching places in Melbourne, I have come back a few times since 2018 I really love how to change their menu every year and I was excited to try the dishes they currently offer. What User dislikes about Operator 25:
Sad to see how this place didn’t maintain the quality and reputation it used to have. Service wasn’t too bad though waiting staff all seem like they were dreading the day. Food was so mid. The granola came tasted stale, and the pear slices were harder than biting into an apple. The Benedict was less than impressive—beef which was part of the dish tasted like jerky soaked in sauce… Coffee saved the day and was probabl... View all feedback.
We all had various forms of eggs on toast with were very nice. I also had the matcha latte, which I didn't like overly. The orange juice was really good fresh! The rest of the menu was quite trendy, not too many vegetarian options.
This place is a good little find. A little on the too cool for school side, but my breakfast was nice. I guess it's hard to find any place these days that isn't a smidge hipster. Maybe I'm just getting old... still worth checking out if you are nearby.
The quirky signage means we couldn't find it at first. So many taglines, hiding the name of the place. Interesting.Quite a queue on a Friday afternoon - it's popular. Good quality food - pork
