Feedback
Tried makan last night and was seriously impressed. We had the sate maranggi beef skewers, rendang sapi, ayam goreng kecap, jagung bakar, and a bowl of nasi putih. The sate maranggi was tender and packed with flavour. You could taste the shallot-soy marinade coming through properly balanced and rich without being overpowering. The rendang sapi was slow-cooked wagyu beef in a dark chilli curry. It was soft, fell apart with a spoon, and had that deep, slow-braised flavour you want in a proper rendang. The ayam goreng kecap—fried chicken ribs with chilli soy glaze and lime mayo, was the standout. Crunchy, sticky, and full of flavour. I’d go back just for these. Jagung bakar, the grilled corn ribs, were simple but perfect. Nicely charred, seasoned well, and paired with a garlic dip that actually added to the dish. Nasi putih (steamed jasmine rice) tied everything together. Nothing fancy, just cooked right. Service was excellent and friendly, fast, and on point. The vibe in the venue was warm and comfortable, with just the right energy for a casual night out or a proper meal with friends. Makan is doing things right. Good food, done with care, and flavours that actually deliver.
