We approached the bar... read more After reading what we now realised we're good reviews written years ago we decided to try out the Limerick Hotel for a meal and the footy. We approached the bar to a sulky waitress and said we had a booking. She pointed at the public bar section and said you can sit there and I said we had booked in the dining room. She said okay and we had to pretty much tell her that's what we booked and where we wanted to be . After ordering drinks with a lovely bar staff member and then meals , our meals were delivered by the sulky Kaitlyn who just put them on the table not even asking who was having which meal. The manager dropped us a box of cutlery on the table with only 2 sets of cutlery for 3 people so had to ask for cutlery. After eating a meal that was tasty we then sat with our 3 plates infront of us for over an hour our with glasses that had sat there for 90 minutes. The tables around us also had the same issue. At this time there was only 14 people in the entire dining area. Terrible service from a girl who clearly doesn't know the meaning of hospitality and barely spoke and didn't smile. We go out very often for dinner living locally and will make sure we don't bother coming here again. Horrible experience and we even felt compelled to write this review before we even left the pub. Show some friendliness , pride and interest in the people who are paying to keep your business going ! Disgraceful Limerick ! Price per person: $40–60 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The sides and pur... read more So pleasantly surprised with this place. The food was cooked really well. The protein mains we had (chicken and salmon) were cooked perfectly. The sides and purées were well coordinated and tasty additions. The entrees were again, cooked well (calamari soft and ribs, even softer and fell off the bone). The service was mediocre, but food made up for any shortcomings. Will be back for more!

The ambiance of the place ain’t that good but the food was so amazing. The best dish was the lamb shank.

The salmon was excellent as well. Bit salty but gooooood! Took awhile to debate which entree to get!! As all were soooo tempting!! Ended up with the calamari and chicken ribs! Thought we did well until I saw the next tables entrees!! Foood envy!! They had the lamb ribs!! Oh maaaan just watching the chubby dude tuck in like there was no tomorrow.... <br/ <br/ Would definitely come back again if in the area.
