Feedback
Was Crawford Jenkins at Cafe 99 a mag?
Melbourne is known for having the best coffee in Australia, and Café 99 is a hidden gem that lives up to that reputation. Although it's a bit off the beaten path, the food is excellent, and the coffee is easily the best in Melbourne. It's definitely worth the trip to the Public Record Office of Victoria to experience it for yourself! View all feedback.
What Amanda Mayert dislikes about Cafe 99:
This is a small but reliable café in the lobby of the Public Record Office at 99 Shiel Street, North Melbourne. It has good coffee and some food, but there's only a small space. One of its sharing tables is right in the lobby, at the front doors of the building, you can't miss it. Handy if you need to meet someone for a business discussion at PROV, or are doing work or research here. View all feedback.
YAY - A great place for coffee & food in the Hospital/university district of Parkville Coffee is excellent & food is fresh and not overpriced.

The restaurant could be more comfortable with improvements in their public records office. The food I tried was okay, nothing outstanding. The egg and bacon roll I ordered was overcooked to the point of being unrecognizable. I wasn't given the option to have it reheated in a toaster. The vegetable pizza was also overtoasted. The coffee was decent.
The service here was friendly and quick. The mini cheesecake was yummy. The coffee was nice, maybe a tiny bit bitter, but definitely enjoyable. Would come again if I were in the area. Side note: Efpos minimum of $5.00
This small yet dependable café is located in the lobby of the Public Record Office on 99 Shiel Street in North Melbourne. They serve good coffee and offer some food options, but the space is limited. A convenient shared table is situated in the lobby near the front doors of the building, making it easily accessible for those needing to meet for business discussions at the Public Record Office or work and research in the area.
