Cafe 99 - Melbourne

This is a small but reliable café in the lobby of the Public Record Office at 99 Shiel Street, North Melbourne. It has good coffee and some food, but there's only a small space. One of its sharing tables is right in the lobby, at the front doors of the building, you can't miss it. Handy if you need to meet someone for a business discussion at PROV, or are doing work or research here.

Convenient if you are doing some work at the Oublic Records Office. The food I had was average, and not they great. The egg and bacon roll I had one day was toasted beyond recognition. I was not even asked whether I wanted them reheated in a toasting machine. The veggie pizza was inflicted with then same toasting. Coffee was not bad.

Melbourne is said to have the best coffee in Australia. Out of the way but a great find the food at Café 99 is great. Even better the coffee is the best in Melbourne. It is worth the ride to the Public Record Office of Victoria to have the best!

YAY - A great place for coffee & food in the Hospital/university district of Parkville Coffee is excellent & food is fresh and not overpriced.

I would give this place 5 stars because their coffee is really good and really helps keep me up! HOWEVER, -4 stars due to the fact that they take over TEN
