BearBrass - Melbourne

Right in the heart of the Southbank in Melbourne, this was an easy choice for breakfast with the kids. The staff are super friendly, the food is tasty and the portions generous. The place is very relaxed and easy going with great views of Flinders St station and the Yarra River.

Bear Brass offers a 'concert' deal with a simple but great choice of entree dips, a 3-choice main meal and a drink as well as a return pass to concert venues using Melbourne Water Taxis (Rod Laver, AAMI)... we live outside Melbourne, always stay at Southbank for concerts and have often taken advantage of this deal. If the concert is midweek they may not be open afterwards, but they do open later on weekends. It's a very relaxing, casual, friendly place to be at both ends of the evening, with an open-air area overlooking Southbank. For us, it has taken the traffic/parking drama out of concerts and allowed us to relax & enjoy the entire evening.

Had dinner. This is a large restaurant. The service is excellent, big wine list and comprehensive menu. The only negetive is that the servings are very small and the food expensive.

Very nice breakfast enjoyed here. So much competition and rivalry in the area and I'm happy to report we enjoyed our food immensely. I opted for sago style porridge and my wife toast and scrambled eggs and both were exceptional. Nice coffee as well served by friendly staff. Nice view of the river and people watching too if you're like that.

Sunny cafe for Brekky, great pricing and service. Caleb was great waiter at night and Jugs of Pimms delivered to your table awesome. Plus the Pizzas in the evening are Tasty.. pulled lamb and another fave chicken with Pesto.. tasty and well priced. Family or romantic trendy couples... you will not be disappointed. We will be back!!
