Was Daniel Harness at Siempre Marfa a mag?
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and hardworking. It has a charming small-town atmosphere and is conveniently located just off the main road into town. Unfortunately, like many places, this town has been impacted by COVID, resulting in a limited menu and some staffing shortages. However, I’m confident that in six months, this place will earn a five... View all feedback.

What MC G dislikes about Siempre Marfa:
The food here is mediocre and overpriced, and the cocktails are costly and not very strong. However, the ambiance is pretty cool. It’s a good spot if you want to mingle with those who enjoy being seen. Just a heads-up, you might need to grab a bite elsewhere afterward. When you open the canned beer, be cautious—it might fizz over. Also, don’t bring cash, as they don’t accept it as a form of payment. View all feedback.

This place is fantastic and has quickly become our favorite spot for dinner and drinks in Marfa. It features a lovely outdoor area with fire pits, though there is also some indoor seating available. You order at the window outside, collect your cocktails and drinks from the same window, and then take a table number for your food. The menu is simple, yet it offers some amazing options. During our first visit, the wonderful bartender Paul provided us with great recommendations, and we ended up trying the pozole, power bowl (the name might not be exact, but it's a delicious grain bowl), chicken fajita quesadilla, on-the-rocks margarita, and a frozen prickly pear sotol margarita. The drinks were excellent; the frozen margarita was not too sweet like many others, and the flavors were delightful. The food was absolutely delicious—possibly the best pozole we've ever had! Everything was packed with flavor, and we enjoyed our meal so much that we returned the next day to try the cheese enchilada plate and the ultimate palabra drink. I highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner, or drinks! We will definitely be coming back!

It was the only place open in the mid-afternoon, between lunch and dinner, but I'm glad we chose to stop here. The staff was friendly, and the lovely woman even started a fire for us, insisting we didn't help. The bartender with curly hair (sorry, I forgot their name) was really nice, but since they were the only one working, things got a bit backed up, and we had to wait a while for our drinks. As expected in Marfa, service was on the slower side, but that’s just part of the “slow pace” here. The food was good overall. I did deduct one star for the watery adult hot cocoa—my advice is to either ask for extra powder or skip it altogether, as it wasn't worth it.
