The one women's band that ran at this little place when we were here over the weekend was such a treasure. I would have waited an hour for my coffee, she was so nice and welcoming. The coffee was also great and I loved the little place he was in. The best place in marfa hands down. Skip the sentinel do not collect 200 and go right here.
The staff is really friendly! I think she could be the owner?! It's a woman show and she's doing a great job! Coffee is really good and her niche is toasts that are so delicious! worth waiting! On-site support by buying their goods! Must try!
What an amazing little shop in Marfa! I was there for a 3 day trip and every morning was a coffee and toast from Do Your Thing. Everything was awesome, from the atmosphere to the food to the staff. I had the pleasure of interacting with Mack, G (I’m so sorry if I spelled your name wrong! , and Lauren. They were all incredibly kind and easy to talk to. The Solidarity toast is a must, even if you don’t like tahini, you can barely taste it. It’s so good, and the sourdough bread is phenomenal. The thick cut slices with any topping is a great little breakfast treat. I tried 3 different of their “signature” drinks; the honey spice, horchata, and Mexican mocha. The honey spice was by far my favorite, but I also like very sweet coffee. All in all, make sure Do Your Thing is on your list of places to visit in Marfa, you definitely won’t regret it!
A flat white and a horchata latte. Both were amazing. I expected a good coffee based on my experience with the coffee at the Gage Hotel in Marathon, TX (from a roaster from Marfa), but this elegant, upscale coffee shop in an inconceivable historical lumberyard) beyond and beyond my expectations. I would always return if I had lived a little closer.
