What Zacharie Hoareau doesn't like about Brasserie des Ecoles:
(Apparently) cheap prices for low-quality meals. Meat dishes are nothing of special, but nothing compared to waitresses' politeness. I guess it has been the first time in my life I didn't receive any "bonsoir" when I came in, and any "merci" or "au revoir" when I went out from the restaurant. "Very nice" snorting when I was trying to order my menu in French, even if i don't speak a world. Then, main dishes came before entrées, and we had to put everything on the table although there was no space (bread in our dishes just to fit it in). My girlfriend and me couldn't believe it was seriously happening. Definitely no recommended!. What Adèle Mendes likes about Brasserie des Ecoles:
Had an early dinner here and was in a hurry as I needed to get to Parc OL to watch Olympique Lyonnais - this was the perfect place to choose. Service was very quick. I had escalope Milanese, which was very tasty and simply done. My wife had magret de canard which she enjoyed very much too. Not Michelin star stuff, but really solid and good value choice.
