Was Anonym at Derby a mag?

What Anonym dislikes about Derby:
My parents and I truly enjoy Derby for its charming ambiance, warm hospitality, and friendly staff. However, we found the food disappointing. While the pub fare is generally acceptable, the paninis, sandwiches, and soups often tasted bland and uninspired. The wings were lacking in flavor, which made the meal less satisfying overall. The upstairs restaurant is slightly better but still serves very average dishes that... View all feedback.
Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at Derby. With the perfect weather, we opted to sit outside on the spacious terrace. The staff guided us to our table, though they seemed somewhat distracted. Gavin went inside to order our drinks and collect the menus. Despite a lively atmosphere—especially with a staff wedding happening—there was some enjoyable live music that enhanced the mood. After placing our dinner orders, the staff became more attentive. The food was delicious and served promptly, well above typical bar standards. We particularly loved the chicken tacos and BBQ pork ribs, both outstanding. For dessert, we shared the apple pie. At first, it seemed unremarkable when served, but it turned out to be incredibly tasty and perfectly sized. If we’re in the area again, we would definitely return to Derby.
We had a fantastic experience at Derby, largely thanks to our wonderful waitress, Marta, who took exceptional care of us. She was extremely kind and friendly, and we truly enjoyed our conversations with her. The menu offered great options with generous portions. I would gladly give this place 5 stars; however, it was very busy when we arrived, and we ended up waiting 2 hours for a table. It would be wonderful if the hotel had more spaces where guests could relax and enjoy a drink while waiting, or perhaps a lounge area for coffee and unwinding. Thanks to Marta, our initial wait was made much more pleasant.

After a long day of hiking, this place was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with attentive service and delicious food. My boyfriend and I both ordered burgers and fries, accompanied by a pint of Guinness, and were very happy with our meals. Everything was perfectly cooked, making it a great spot to enjoy a beer and relax at your own pace.
I’ve dined at Derby several times while showing my mum and future mother-in-law around our wedding venue. Both of them absolutely loved not only the food but the overall atmosphere! The bar's theme is charming and cozy, creating a really warm environment. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Food is served promptly, and tables are cleared quickly, so you’re never left with dirty plates. You absolutely must try the Caesar salad here. Normally, I dislike Caesar dressing because I find it too vinegary, but theirs is exceptional! I even heard it’s won an award, which doesn’t surprise me after tasting it. I’ve also sampled several of their freshly made sandwiches, and they’re all delicious. Portions are generous too; usually, a salad doesn’t fill me up, but the amount of chicken and bacon in theirs kept me satisfied for hours. If you’re visiting Cabra Castle, be sure to try the food at Derby—you won’t regret it! I can’t wait for my wedding guests to experience it too!
