What 612padraigl dislikes about Headfort Arms:
My fiancée, our toddler, and I visited Headfort Arms in November. To our surprise, even after a month, we never received our order. The restaurant was clearly short-staffed, and the food quality was average at best. View all feedback.
Myself and the wife went to a recent show held in this hotel. We decided to have a few drinks in the lounge before the show as it looked very nice. However it was not the case, we sat at the bar which was filthy, sticky and with wet beer mats. I ordered a pint of Guinness which was absolutely terrible that I could not finish. I then had to call the barman over as the pint of lager I was now drinking from was in a dirty glass with lipstick marks. He then poured the remainder of my drink into another glass and apologised and went on his way. I thought he was joking, my wife actually laughed when she seen the look on my face. I was not the only one who had to send a drink back that evening. The barmen then had to hold the glasses up to the light to see if they were clean before serving. The food must be good as the kitchen was very busy but sadly the drink was not. If you’re a Guinness drinker stay clear, absolutely foul. The room in which it was held in was cold enough to hang meat when we first entered uncomfortable seat’s. Thankfully the show saved the night which is why I’m given it 3 star’s. But we will not be heading back there again
We had the most fabulous weekend at my daughters hen party recently! There were 13 of us and honestly, we couldn 't find fault with anything. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. On the Friday night the bar was lively with a speed quiz and Karaoke, the DJ was so much fun! I can 't remember the barman 's name, but the cocktails were fab too! On the Saturday morning, we all had a relaxing spa treatment followed by afternoon tea it was such a lovely treat! I can highly recommend the Pamper Princess package for anyone thinking of organising a hen party go for it!
