We absolutely adore this restaurant! Every time we visit Lehigh Valley, it’s one of the first places we want to go. The food is incredible, and the portions are quite generous—it feels just like dining at your grandmother’s house. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they never disappoint us!
I was in the area and decided to try something new since I had never tasted Hungarian cuisine before. The pierogi were quite impressive; I was surprised to find them fried, but they were truly enjoyable. They were larger than the Polish version and stuffed with potato. The Hungarian Gypsy Pork was absolutely delicious, and the garlicky pork chops were fantastic as well. The mashed potatoes were average, but when we added the leftover sour cream from the pierogi, they reached another level—so good! The Hungarian goulash was incredible; I’ve had goulash at diners and various places, but nothing comes close to the authentic Hungarian version. It’s a completely different experience! Our server, Arthur, was remarkably quick, moving around the restaurant like a busy bee. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a charmingly sarcastic demeanor. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
They might want to think about charging extra for substituting the regular salad with their famous cucumber salad, as the standard salad that came with my meal was not impressive. The service was excellent, though I would have liked a bit more time to finish my appetizer before the main course arrived. Even though I’ve pointed out a few drawbacks, the food truly makes it worth a visit, especially if you’re in the mood for genuine Hungarian dishes that remind you of your grandmother’s cooking.
While I was in the area for work, I searched for Hungarian food on Yelp. This restaurant was the top recommendation and had excellent reviews, so I knew I had to give it a try.
