The cake and drinks were... read more This place looked really inviting from outside and had a nice atmosphere inside. We both had a chai latte and each had a slice of cake. The cake and drinks were lovely. But, the attitude of the young lady who served us left a lot to be desired. She was quite abrupt and left you feeling like you'd really put her out to have to serve you. We were on the point of just saying to leave it and go. I don't understand why people are like that in the service industry.

Service varies a lot depending on the current crop of staff, on my most recent visit they were friendly. The menu hasn’t really changed in the last decade for better or worse. In fact the only thing to ever really change are the prices which are now what I’d call London level. £12 for a small latte and a piece of cake is a lot! Many of the mains are well into restaurant price levels for decidedly café grade food (bit of salad and crisps with a burger or bagel that’s cost most of £20! . I appreciate prices everywhere are up, but Mooch is well above the average locally.
