As of March 10, the Pack Horse has reopened under new management. They are currently operating on weekends only, from 12:00 PM until late on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that they are only accepting cash payments until their internet service is sorted out. We found this cozy pub on our walk literally in the middle of nowhere. so a nice tasty bite to have a beer after a long walk in beautiful landscape.
It was our first visit under the new management. Reminds us of the original pub we loved going to years back. Food and service great.Will be eating there regularly.
Walking in to this hospitable place with logs burning in the fireplace and fine ales served by friendly faces after getting soaked in driving rain on the bleak moors is a most glorious thing. Remarkable whisky collection as well !
Well deserved meal after the heat of the walk around Widdop Authentic Pack Horse Pub, both welcoming and great home cooked food the staff very accommodating for such a big party portions perfectly cooked large.
