We visited this restaurant at 4pm on a Saturday after the market had closed. We were served by two very friendly staff members who deserve recognition for their hard work under the management. I mistakenly tried to order an item from the menu that was only served between 1 and 3pm. A fiver a pint. Had to wait ages to be served. its Feb and the heats off and it’s freezing. Everyone is wearing coats. Nice place but look around and see all your customers are wearing hats coats and scarves.
This road is a foodie paradise and one of the highlights of East London’s regeneration. It’s a small venue with only a few beers, including a cloudy, dodgy IPA. The staff do, however, make some excellent cocktails and the Kansas Smitty band rock the equally-small jazz venue below. Definitely worth a visit.
This was a local favourite before moving to hoxton. We had many good date nights here and enjoy the cocktails. Always a good special available and very competent bar staff.
