Description

**Restaurant Review: Mixed Experiences at Joy Teriyaki**

Joy Teriyaki offers a varied dining experience, showcasing both highly praised dishes and notable disappointments. While many patrons rave about the freshness and balanced flavors of their teriyaki bowls, other guests have encountered overcooked rice and unappealing, seemingly stale chicken. Service quality has received mixed feedback—some instances highlighted unfriendly interactions, although the restaurant's cleanliness and modern decor earned consistent commendation. Notably, the affordability of offerings and generous portions have garnered appreciation, making it worth considering for casual dining, though some improvements in food quality and service might enhance the overall experience.

I ordered the lunch chicken teriyaki and rice bowl with a side of stirfried vegetables. The chicken tasted like it was leftovers from a few days ago. The rice was almost stale. And the Stirfry vegetable was definitely not fresh. Usually I have a very goodexperience with all the different joy teriyaki, but apparently not this time.

Horrible customer service. I was a frequent customer until today when I went and had bad service. I ordered two meals but was only given one sauce and when I asked for another sauce for the other meal, I was treated bad. The guy rudely told me that itwould be extra money for another sauce. The way he said it was in a very rude and harsh way that was completely unnecessary. Iunderstand that places charge for extra sauces and I wouldn't have minded paying but he did not need to treat me in such a way.

Had a terrible experience. Ordered chicken yakisoba—the chicken looked old, the rice was overcooked, and the vegetables were definitely not fresh. The kung pao chicken was bland as well. When I asked for extra sauce, the staff member was very rude. I called to return the food, and the person was angry but did refund my money. BEWARE. I had eaten here before when it was good, but NEVER AGAIN.

I ordered the beef teriyaki bowl at Joy Teriyaki, and everything was excellent—fresh, tasty, and perfectly balanced flavors. I had anticipated an Asian-style salad, but it was just iceberg lettuce with a few carrots, which felt a bit basic. Still, the overall experience earns five stars because all the ingredients were very fresh, and the restaurant was spotless. I look forward to coming back and exploring more from their menu. Thank you, Joy Teriyaki, for serving such wonderful food!

This was my first time trying Joy Teriyaki, and I ordered the teriyaki pork bowl for $9.50. Having visited Japan several times, this was the closest teriyaki I've had to what I experienced there. It was definitely worth the price, with plenty of meat and a good portion of rice.
