Original Roadhouse Grill - Gresham
Original Roadhouse Grill
Description
Roadhouse is a welcoming restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. While the food had mixed reviews, with some dishes being described as lacking flavor and warmth, others praised the delicious steak and BBQ options. The prices were considered high for the portion sizes by some patrons. Despite this, the staff was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. The strawberry margaritas were disappointing, but the sweet rolls were a hit. Overall, Roadhouse seems like a decent spot to try if you're in the area, with unique dishes like Texas egg rolls and country cognac chicken receiving positive feedback.

Although the price doesn't always match the quality, our visit yesterday was fantastic. The service was outstanding, even with our waiter managing multiple tables. The food was spot on. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that the table could have used a thorough cleaning. They usually feel a bit sticky, but this time it was quite unpleasant. Please make sure to clean your tables with a good cleaner once in a while!
The food here is fantastic! We ordered the sampler, which included BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs, pulled pork, and your choice of two sides. They also serve fresh, piping hot sweet rolls that are absolutely delicious. Everything was really tasty, and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the current economy. The staff is friendly, and while the place is a bit dated, it’s pretty clean. Be sure to add this restaurant to your list—I’m confident you won’t be disappointed. I’d give it 4.5 stars, but since Google doesn’t allow for half stars, I’m bumping it up!
The food isn't outstanding, but it's definitely tasty! I tried a bowl of chili, which was well-seasoned and packed with meat. My server was very friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience overall.
Original Roadhouse Grill is a fantastic place with refreshing drinks and tasty food. We used to visit often for happy hour and are eagerly awaiting its return. Recently, I tried the country cognac chicken served with garlic green beans and mashed potatoes, and it was excellent. The Texas eggrolls are a must-try—crispy, cheesy, and paired perfectly with a spicy sweet chili sauce. Their incredibly soft bread accompanied by honey butter is always a favorite of mine. The staff is friendly and attentive, and even when busy, the food arrived quickly. I highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!
At Original Roadhouse Grill, the salad was disappointing as the lettuce appeared almost white, lacking the crisp green freshness you’d expect. The prime rib had good flavor but was quite dry. On the positive side, the waitress was very kind, helpful, and polite throughout the meal. The menu offers a variety of options, though some items could use improvement.
