Gresham Food Carts
Gresham Food Carts
Description
A diverse food-cart pod on the edge of Gresham offers standout dishes—notably Himalayan bowls and cleverly packed sushi—alongside uneven experiences: small portions, rubbery calamari, missing condiments, wrong orders, and occasional foreign objects. The pod is family-friendly with clean, covered seating and generally available parking; wheelchair users can access dining areas but restrooms are inaccessible and sometimes unsanitary. Limited late-night vegan options and inconsistent vendor hours mean quality varies; come for discoveries but expect hit-or-miss service.

I stumbled upon this food cart, and it turned out to be a fantastic discovery! It's one of those classic Portland gems—an unassuming food cart that really delivers an amazing experience. When I first opened the box, the presentation was just average, but I quickly noticed the thoughtful details, especially the separate packing of sauce toppings to keep the rolls fresh. I've had plenty of sushi before, but I've never encountered this before! It's a brilliant idea that really enhanced the flavor after my drive home. I'll definitely be returning to this spot when I'm in Gresham!
Very friendly service. The nigiri was decent but not amazing. The sauce on the salmon was telling, but then again, this is on the edge of Gresham and I'm sure it may be needed to coax the locals over to the fresh side. The only unfortunate part of the meal was the calamari, which was so tough and rubbery that we only ate a few pieces before tossing.
Not many healthy choices really, it is a little disappointing given that there are so many cartsGood location, parking with very small spaces, and super cool idea overall.
Nit all the shops were open on a Friday evening, which felt weird, but we were able to get some food. My boyfriend got a Philly from Sut and liked it. The service was great. I got to gyro plate from Chef Shawarma. I was a little sad the meet was so thin, but the food was all great. Also, the hummus was amazing, and this is coming from someone who hates hummus. Good food, and it was nice to have parking next to it.
