My experience at Gen Sushi was disappointing and frustrating. Despite the restaurant boasting fresh wasabi and ginger, we were only offered pre-packaged wasabi, which significantly detracted from the authenticity of the meal. The customer service was subpar; our waiter was not only inattentive but also rude, making us feel unwelcome throughout our visit. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and poor service overshadowed any potential enjoyment of the food, leaving me unlikely to return. My whole family loves this place. They have all day happy hour and the sushi is made right in front of you. There is something for everyone and we go here as often as possible. Price per person: $1–10
The food was not as good as it normally is.
The conveyor belt sushi here is quite good. For the best selection, I recommend visiting during regular lunch or dinner hours. The first time we came for an early dinner around 4:30 PM, and the selection was lacking. However, our second visit at 1 PM for lunch was much better; the belt was fully stocked, and everything was fresh. They also have a winter special where all plates are priced at $2.95.
