Our mains, plus a shared starter and dessert were all quite enjoyable, no real complaints. The wine list was fairly extensive and browsed via an iPad, and...I was pleased to find a number of options served by the glass. Our bill, including a couple of glasses of wine came to around I have been to Giessen a number of times to visit family, and this ranks above most restaurants I have tried out, in terms of food and to a larger extent the wine selection plus the lively atmosphere. They have a bar area as well and a crowd had built up here by the time we finished our meal. Although the menus were not in English, the staff had some basic knowledge. Recommended

Ask for Marco, and he will serve you with the best fresh italian food in the area no pizza!....Excellent wines. Only seats, make your reservation early

While you wai... read more We always enjoy going to Gianoli as a group. A really authentic Italian that serves the finest dishes that are always a real treat for the palate. While you wait for your food you can have a wonderful chat with the head waiter. Also a very likeable fellow! During our visit there was plenty of bread and wonderful pasta dishes. The truffle pasta is absolutely recommended! Very tasty, creamy and extremely tasty! A visit to Gianoli is highly recommended!
