We ate everything.Attention to detail. all positive and cant wait to go again!

We stayed in Foix for 4 nights in the end of March and were met by the very friendly and helpful staff that was always ready to make us feel among friends and h... read more We stayed in Foix for 4 nights in the end of March and were met by the very friendly and helpful staff that was always ready to make us feel among friends and helped us for our visits to the Grotte de Niaux and the Chateau de Foix. The hotel has a slight old fashioned feel with 60 's retro interior decoration especially in the restaurant, and you will not find much fancy modern electronics. Or a wifi that works more than occasionally. But the view of the Ariège river and the mountain from the one side is deeply charming, and when it is warm enough to enjoy breakfast or other meals on the terrace along the river you will find it hard not to be pleased. The 'big ' breakfast menu could be more varied, but the lunch and evening menus offer a wide range of solid local specialties at a reasonable price.
