We visited Hotel Lons for two nights as part of a visit to the cave of Niaux and Foix castle. The staff, especially Mr Chaubert, were very kind in assisting to reserve a taxi and make dinner reservations. The hotel is very well-located walking distance from the train station and is in an area with many restaurants, shops, and attractions that are within walking distance as well. The rooms are comfortable and pretty. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the patio overlooking the river is a peaceful place to enjoy coffee or drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Lons and hope to make a return visit next summer to see the sights that we missed this time.
Excellent bike-friendly welcome! Friendly and pleasant welcome. We were very well accommodated, with our bikes safely stored right next door. Impeccable and helpful service. Very well-stocked continental breakfast. Highly recommended! Thank you to the team!
Impeccable welcome. The quality of service is excellent. The hotel is located right in the center of Foix. Although there are a few paid parking spaces in front of the hotel, it's quite easy to find free parking within a 5-minute walk. I recommend it.
Trekking along the Cathar trails, we reached the end of our hike and spent the night at the Hotel Lons. A warm and friendly welcome; the hotel has retained its character and is a blend of old and new – I loved it! I highly recommend it.
Our daughter gave us a 3-night stay at this hotel as a gift. It was a wonderful present that we thoroughly enjoyed. It's a very welcoming hotel with a touch of vintage charm. Its location is perfect. It's in the city's historic center and on the banks of the Ariège River. A great base for exploring Foix. The staff was incredibly friendly and we felt very comfortable. The room we stayed in, with its river view, was spacious and comfortable. In this room, the headboard featured a starry sky that lit up. Since the weather was beautiful those days, we were able to have breakfast on a terrace by the river. A very pleasant experience. There was also a bar service in the evenings. Thanks to the kindness of Alban, Maëlle, and the rest of the staff, we had an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended.

We ate here both nights we were in Foix. Good food and great service. A good selection of set menus using great local ingredients. Pleasure to dine on the river terrace.
Lunchtime menu great value (13.90) although we went for the 18 euros as wanted three courses!. quality of the ingredients exceptional.There was plenty of choice .Atmoshere friendly and classy. We ate everything.Attention to detail. all positive and cant wait to go again!
We stayed in Foix for 4 nights in the end of March and were met by the very friendly and helpful staff that was always ready to make us feel among friends and helped us for our visits to the Grotte de Niaux and the Chateau de Foix. The hotel has a slight old fashioned feel with 60 's retro interior decoration especially in the restaurant, and you will not find much fancy modern electronics. Or a wifi that works more than occasionally. But the view of the Ariège river and the mountain from the one side is deeply charming, and when it is warm enough to enjoy breakfast or other meals on the terrace along the river you will find it hard not to be pleased. The 'big ' breakfast menu could be more varied, but the lunch and evening menus offer a wide range of solid local specialties at a reasonable price.
We were in the restaurant. The food war good and female waiters were nice and kind. Just one male waiter was very rude. He was watching us rudely while we were eating and he ignored us when we have said thank you, good-bye. at the end. He spoiled everything! We won 't come back to this restaurant.
I was looking for a cassoulet ariégeois and found it listed on their menu. The service was as expected at such place, being early I was invited to wait in the bar for the aperitif... The dining experience in their patio atop the river was nice, and the cassoulet was tasty.

Great central location, very helpful staff, charming decors, clean and spacious room. We enjoyed our short stay and are happy we stopped in Foix. Can definitely recommend Hotel Lons!
Beautiful hotel in the heart of foix. the thalia, gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. they proposed a series of good local restaurants and helped identify free parking. they can park free in foix from until the next day. very pleasant, though only a short stay.
