Additionally, whe... read more I requested three glasses of water with lemon, and after reminding her about the lemon, she returned with just one slice for all three drinks. Additionally, when I asked for extra napkins because I had already used the three I was given, she only brought two. As someone who regularly serves families, I find it surprising to be so stingy with basic necessities. When our food arrived, I had to request plates so we could eat, as we were sharing. To make matters worse, the server had the audacity to tell me what to do with my son and wouldn’t allow him to keep the laminated menu to play with. I frequent Japanese restaurants throughout Dutchess County, especially since my children are part Japanese, and I’ve never encountered such rudeness before. For the first time in my life, I left without leaving a tip!

Although the service was excellent and the staff was incredibly helpful, I wasn't particularly impressed with the food as a whole. While waiting behind another patron, I overheard her interactions and found them off-putting. By the time she addressed me, I had reached my limit. I brought it to her attention and decided to leave. However, the food was excellent—5/5.
