First time we wanted to try and we were well received, the food was good and the atmosphere nice so we decided to go back again on our last night in Florence. The owner doesn't speak very well english but does his best to understand and to be understable. He is really nice and the food was simple, really good and affordable. The two times we went there we paid under 30€ for 2. We recommand this restaurant!

A little wet and creamy, just my style! Carlo was an amazing waiter and cook. It's a small and very welcoming restaurant, where we s... read more We arrived fairly late at our hotel Diana Park) and were recommended to try Il Micio by the receptionist. It's a small and very welcoming restaurant, where we saw a few locals come and go, which is usually a sign of a good place to eat. Father cooked, whilst Mother and eldest daughter served and it was lovely to feel like guests not just customers. Our meals were all excellent and very good value. We only ate here once as we'd decided to try a different place every evening, but we would definitely eat here again and thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Enjoy

We were staying close by, and fancied seafood so that's what initially drew us in, however the family that run Il Micio are really friendly and provided great service. I had the clams, and my wife had the langoustines, both of which were well cooked and plentiful. It's the sort of place you'd be very proud of discovering all on your own (but we didn't as it was a TripAdvisor find! . Ho hum : It was also the best value meal we had in our whole Italian holiday. Well worth a trip.
