Encore - Fall River
Encore
Description
Here you will find the menu of Encore in Fall River. At the moment, there are 64 and drinks on the menu.
Tucked into a lakeside hotel, this cozy, multi-level eatery offers generous portions, standout seafood (notably chowder, mussels and casseroles), fresh baked bread and tempting desserts at reasonable brunch prices. Attentive staff and a warm fireplace create an inviting, relaxed atmosphere ideal for travelers and small groups. Occasional inconsistencies—lukewarm or reheated dishes, a dim bar area, and spotty kitchen training—temper what is otherwise a charming spot worth visiting for comfort food and classic seafood.

The crepe with chicken and mushrooms was enjoyable, as was the quiche paired with a salad. I would suggest the red-beet salad, but it would be better if they used chunks of beet instead of canned, sliced rounds for a more appealing presentation, which currently resembles cafeteria food. The spinach salad with chicken was decent, too. The chicken club sandwich with a baked potato was good, but the real standout of the week was their pasta marina—it was by far the best dish among everything I tried.
It's terribly disappointing that the bar/restaurant in this adorable hotel is such a let down. The servers, although friendly, must know how mediocre the food is?! It's dark and dingy in there. $3.50 for small soda water and no offer of a refill. Beef dip and calamari were nasty. I've had better chicken wings from a gas station. Venture anywhere else for dinner and you will thank me! I'm honestly shocked they can stay open, mind you it's already for limited days/hours.
The restaurant is situated at The Inn on The Lake. We made a reservation and were seated near a beautiful large fireplace, creating a lovely ambiance. Our server was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The establishment had several tables marked as closed and displayed signs promoting COVID safety protocols, which we appreciated. The cleanliness of the place was impressive. We started our meal with nachos, which were delicious and generously topped. For our main courses, we ordered fish and chips, as well as a chicken wrap with fries, both of which were excellent and larger than we anticipated. The server even offered us a takeout container for our leftovers, a thoughtful gesture. Unfortunately, we were too full to enjoy dessert. This was our first time dining here, and we can't wait to return.
Found at the charming Inn on the Lake in Fall River, en route to the airport, Encore is a cozy restaurant that has much more character than you 'd expect for anything falling under the unfortunate banner of 'hotel restaurants '. Its multiple levels within the small space makes for a more intimate feel when you land in your own personal corner and on a nice day, the views of the lake would be spectacular. Our visit today was for a nice brunch which was served from 11-2. The one-page menu had plenty to choose from (Eggs Benny, fishcakes, a gorgeous skillet and omelets) and was really reasonably priced. Our four-person meal came out at $56 which I 've easily spent on just two brunch plates before. A quick glance at the rest of the menu showed the higher prices that you 'd expect of a place like this although there were SO many options to choose from including a full page highlighting their many gluten-free dishes. The fishcakes and skillet dish (The Farmer) were complete standouts from the table but unfortunately the Eggs Benny were a bit of a let down. The plate seems to have been either popped back in the oven after it was made, or put under an overzealous heat lamp that left the Hollandaise brown on the top and solidified throughout-a crime against my strong brunching beliefs. Still, we felt good about the price, we still cleared out plates, and we felt good about Encore as a great option to fuel up before a day of air travel.
I decided to try the ATLANTIC BLUE MUSSELS, choosing the white wine option with a side of melted butter for $13.50. The mussels were cooked well and met my expectations, though they were fairly standard. I also sampled the BRUSCHETTA, which consisted of vine-ripened tomatoes, basil pesto, black olives, garlic, olive oil, mozzarella, and Parmesan, along with pine nuts for $9.95. It came with four pieces on baguette slices; two had melted mozzarella and two were topped with powdered Parmesan. It was decent. My friend ordered the CLASSIC CLUBHOUSE, featuring roasted turkey breast, crispy bacon, tomato, and lettuce for $15.95. None of the dishes were particularly memorable, but we didn’t have any complaints. I would return if someone wanted to come here, but it wouldn’t be my top choice since I live in Clayton Park.
