I had a great meal of fish and chips at SPUD Fish and Chips while visiting family in the area. The two guys serving took good care of me. I sat outside and watched the sun set over late Juanita as I enjoyed the food. When I come back I'm leaving room forchowder and clams.
Yikes. I stopped here while waiting in line for the ferry. The lady in front of us in line wanted to take an item off the order but the staff didn 't know the password to take an item off or cancel it. They had to call a manager to get the code. This is Notthe staffs fault. This is a management issue. Then we got our food. Two peice Cod and chips and a cup of chowder. The chowderwas okay. The Cod was as someone said in another review school cafeteria quality AND it was over cooked. If I was not alreadyback in my car I would have taken it back. We just tossed the last peice of fish it was so bad. Not worth the stomach ache. Forthe price and quality I won 't go back. Hope it improves in the future.
Basically school cafeteria quality fish and chicken. Mostly bread and grease. Chicken is very dry and probably comes from a bag of frozens. Didn?t offer any sauce for the chicken strips. No napkins at the service window. Slow service. However, one of thebest milkshakes I have ever had, so there?s that. Also way overpriced for fried fish the width of a slice of bologna.
This place was HORRIBLE! I spent $35 $5 tip and I would love to get my $5 tip back at a minimum). $23.50 was VERY overpriced for 3 SMALL pieces of cod chips). And, they make you pay for tartar sauce! The clam chowder….even worse! First of all, they didn’t fill it close to the top of the container, so we automatically felt we were getting ripped off. Plus, it was scorched, watered down, and had no flavor. There were about 5 small pieces of clam potato. I never complain, even when restaura
