What Phillip James dislikes about Barkada:
The food was good, but our experience was marred by a group of friends of the bartender—or possibly the owner—who came in and seemed to become the staff's main focus. They kept glancing at our table throughout the evening, continually checking if we were finished and gradually moving closer, as if to rush us out. We overheard them expressing a desire not to go downstairs and wanting to stay near the bar, which made u... View all feedback.
From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with the aroma. I highly recommend their chicken adobo with the noodle upgrade. It comes with a side of spicy Filipino sauce, which adds a delicious kick. It’s very tasty! Although it typically comes with rice, I opted for the noodles instead, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Not a single disappointment!
Great food and atmosphere. Great for solo lunch or dinner; to stay or go. Great for a casual date. Some indoor seating and comfortable picnic style seating outside. Kalua Pork, Pork Belly Sisig, and doughnuts was our order and huge highlights. Out of Lumpia by the time we got there 5:00pmish. Not sure if typical. Theres even some arcade games downstairs.
I've been coming back for over two years now. Always recommend this place, really great food. If I had something to change, I would just ask that the saltiness of their dishes was toned down a little more. My most recent visit was really really salty. Other than that, highly recommend the garlic shrimp.
Good experience as well as food was delicious, we really enjoyed the garlic shrimp/mac salad and their mochi donuts are so unique and tasty!
One of my very favorite happy hour spots on Edmonds, the food is just so delicious and drinks are such an amazing value. Can't stop coming back here even after I've tried all the menu items at this point but still find new combinations of yummyness!! Cannot speak highly enough of this place, just go try it out
